Using the multimedia available on 100 Speeches (video, audio, depending on availability of resources), students are immersed in JFK’s Inaugural Address of 1961, listening to the speech with a specific focus on responding to discussion questions. The ensuing discussion gives them a chance to speak from their prepared responses and respond to each other, while the completed, written discussion question answers provides insight into students’ ability to cite evidence from a text.
