Comparing and Contrasting Book Reviews and Opinions

Teachers can use Share What You’re Reading to develop their students’ writing skills as well as their ability to compare and contrast perspectives. Students will independently write their own reviews of the chosen novel (selected by their teachers before this activity). Students will then share their reviews with other students, eventually creating a Venn diagram that visually depicts their opinions and those of their classmates.
