Note-Taking: Keep It Simple

In this playlist, you will learn more about note-taking skills and have an opportunity to practice.

1. Research Building Blocks - Fact Fragment Frenzy (ReadWriteThink)
  • Click on “DEMO.” 
  • Watch and listen during the lesson.  
  • Next, practice taking notes by choosing which topic you would like to read about.
  • Drag the important words from the text onto your notepad.
2. Into the Book
  • Type your first name into the box on the right and then write down the “Key” that you are given to use if you ever come back to this site.
  • When you enter the site, drag the flashlight (summarizing) into the book to begin.
  • Click “Watch Video” first and then choose “Try It Yourself” and follow the pirate’s instructions
3. Lewis and Clark
  • Read the passage and take notes using your note-taking skills you have practiced.
  • Use your notes to answer the questions
