Number Line Fun
Play the following games in order:
1. Okta’s Rescue (NCTM): Choose the correct number of octopuses to save and then move the crab on the number line to show how many you caught.
2. Number lines- up to 100 (IXL): Find the missing number.
3. Understanding the Number Line (Mr. Nussbaum): Use the number line to determine which star represents each value.
4. Techno Tortoise (ICT Games):
- Click “games” and “next.”
- Use the leaves to make the first number in the equation.
- Click the bottom eraser to clear your marks
- Add more leaves to make your second number.
- The turtle should have the sum on the number line now that you’ve added both numbers together.
- Click “check” to see if you found the correct sum.
Okta's Rescue (NCTM)
Help Okta the Octopus count and rescue as many of her friends as you can before time runs out.
Understanding the Number Line (Mr. Nussbaum)
Match the represented numbers to the different colored stars on the number line.
Techno Tortoise (ICT Games)
Help the Tortoise by adding together the numbers and finding the sum on the number line.
