Reading and Ordering Fractions and Decimals

You will be completing 3 activities that will have you reading and ordering numbers.

1. Battleship Numberline:
  • Choose “Fractions” to play first.
  • Aim the bullseye for where you think the number on the bottom should be located on the number line.
  • In round two, enter your estimate of where you think the battleship is located on the number line.
  • Next, play “Decimals.”
2. Flower Power (MangaHigh):
  • Click on the first flower to start the game.
  • Drag buds around on the stem so that the smallest flowers are on the bottom of the stem and the largest flowers are on the top of the stem.
  • Follow instructions given by game on how to make more flowers.
3. Decimals of the Caribbean (Mr. Nussbaum):
  • Click “Play” and “Continue.”
  • Read the number as it is written out.
  • Find that number written on one of the ships in the ocean and click on that ship in order to sink it.

Battleship Number Line

Collect stars and explode paper ships by estimating their positions on a number line.

Flower Power (MangaHigh)

Make as much money as possible by growing and harvesting valuable flowers

Decimals of the Caribbean (Mr. Nussbaum)

Match decimal names to numbers to sink pirate ships and capture the treasure!
