Playlist Title
Explore how lightning and tornadoes form in a storm. Then predict the weather forecast accurately for three days in the future. Will you be a successful intern for the WHED station weather forecaster?
1. Lightning and Thunder (Jason Project):
- Scroll through introduction.
- Follow tutorial as it explains how charges react in a cloud.
- Match the action in the cloud to its description.
- Drag scrubber (dial) across the labels to watch and learn how a tornado forms.
- On the "Safety Tips" portion, click on each bullseye to read information.
- Click on “Report the Weather.”
- Choose a level of reporting (Start with level 1).
- Follow directions to choose the correct weather symbol and place it appropriately on the weather map.
- Practice each level of “Reporting the Weather.”
- Next click on “Predict Weather,” choose a level and follow directions.
- You will need paper for the math portion of the prediction.
