All Points North Foundation Supports Los Angeles Programming

by Anna Lisa Caraveo-Flores on

I am thrilled to announce a three-year partnership with All Points North Foundation to support programming in Los Angeles! This generous three-year grant brings an exciting opportunity to improve middle school education by enhancing students’ learning environments, both in the classroom and at home – all leading to increased student mastery and ownership in the middle school years.

Programming made possible through this grant is already underway at Utah Street School. The first of three Family Workshops took place on December 7th, and parents loved learning about STEAM and how to help their students master these subjects.

100% of parents in attendance agreed or strongly agreed that after attending our Family Workshop, they felt more confident that they could support their child’s learning at home.

In addition to our Family Engagement Program, our team is also working diligently to deliver high-quality teacher training through 1-on-1 instructional coaching and workshops for all teachers that will help them personalize instruction more effectively for their students, while also enhancing their classrooms and their own teaching practice.

“The three elements of the program are really going to support our school in terms of coaching for teachers, serving as a thought partner with our teachers, planning, particularly around our school’s focus: discussion techniques and student participation. I’m also really excited about the opportunity for parent engagement. Thank you so much for granting us the funding to be able to roll this program out.”

– Principal Abraham Casavi, Utah Street School

We are honored to be able to work alongside Principal Abraham Casavi and his wonderful school community at Utah Street School who work tirelessly every single day to help students reach their full potential. This work could not have been made possible without the support of All Points North Foundation.
