    Miguel El Lakkis leads PowerMyLearning’s technology team, driving innovation and ensuring the organization’s solutions effectively support its mission to enhance digital learning experiences for students and educators.

    Miguel brings over 25 years of experience in media, financial services, and education, delivering transformative technologies and cybersecurity strategies. Before joining PowerMyLearning, he was President and CTO at Bitbug, implementing AI-based solutions. Previously, as Global CISO at Cantor Fitzgerald, BGC Partners, and Newmark, overseeing a program across 50 countries. He also held executive roles at Dow Jones and News Corp, protecting brands like The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s Group, and MarketWatch. At Amplify, he led large-scale K-12 projects, including NYCDOE’s ARIS system and the Gates Foundation’s inBloom initiative.

    Miguel is dedicated to mentorship and national security, teaching technology to high school students, and training U.S. Marine Corps members in cybersecurity. Miguel is a member of several advisory boards for technology companies and holds several industry certifications and accreditations.
