Dr. Michelle Pyo has over two decades of experience in the field with expertise in educational leadership, instructional design, and professional development. As a former school leader in Los Angeles, she successfully led initiatives to improve academic and SEL outcomes, achieving significant growth in student performance. Dr. Pyo now leads PowerMyLearning’s national team, guiding schools and districts to implement evidence-based programs that empower educators and leaders to deliver confident, effective instruction. Michelle earned her Doctorate in Education from the University of Southern California, a Master’s in Secondary Mathematics Education from UCLA, and a B.A. in Cognitive Neuroscience from UC Berkeley.

 

Jill Nyhus

Jill Nyhus brings over 25 years of experience in K-12 professional learning, business development, and strategic growth for organizations and school districts. Before joining PowerMyLearning, Jill led several large-scale initiatives in school districts nationwide, including equity-driven teacher recruitment and retention systems and multi-channel thought leadership campaigns. A former elementary and middle school math teacher in Title I schools, she has also held leadership roles in an international K12 consulting organization, District of Columbia Public Schools, a tech startup, and the cable industry’s education foundation. She has been a regular speaker at national education conferences on a wide variety of topics facing education leaders. Jill holds an M.A. in Educational Technology Leadership from George Washington University and a B.A. in Elementary Education from Wheaton College (IL).
