PowerMyLearning releases new family learning activities for grades K-8
PowerMyLearning recently launched a new collection of free learning activities for families with children in grades K-8.
Learning By Teaching
Research shows students who have families engaged in their learning are more likely to attend school regularly, have improved social skills and behavior, and achieve high levels of academic performance. PowerMyLearning’s collection of ELA and math learning activities are an easy and fun way for families to support their child’s learning.
Each activity starts with a warm up and then asks the student to teach their family partner the academic concept. This “learning-by-teaching” approach is considered one of the top eight learning strategies and has been proven to improve student’s comprehension and recall.
